Step 1: Request for quote
There are several factors taken into consideration for a quote, such as:
- Volume of items i.e. the number of truck load/trips required
- Quantity/complexity of furniture to be dismantled and reassembled
- Long pushing distance
- Special handling of item e.g. upright piano, safe box
- Labor via stairs
We will arrange for a site assessment where we will explore each detail and needs of your relocation. Alternatively, you can WhatsApp us a video/photo of your furniture so we can assess the size, material and if dismantling/special handling is required. Through video/photo or site assessment, we are able to provide a better estimate and allocate enough manpower to ensure a timely move for you.
Step 2: Book our service
Upon receiving your confirmation to move, we deliver the boxes and packing materials to your door within 7 days. If you are short of time, hire our packing and unpacking service, where our movers can help you so you won’t have to lift a finger on your items.
We will also provide a clothes rack (on the moving day) where you can conveniently hang your suits and dresses instead of spending unnecessary time folding, packing, unpacking and ironing them!
Step 3: On the moving day
Be it rain or shine, we wrap your furniture and boxes with shrink wrap to protect it. Our professional movers take further precautions such as corrugated paper, bubble wrap and/or furniture blanket to protect your furniture from scratches, gouges or water damage.
These items serve not only as packing materials but also as a surface protective layer and cushioning for your items. After all, even a little water can damage your furniture and electronic items, thus we take every precaution to keep them completely dry.

Hmm let's start by saying Joy movers are a joy to work with, from the start (sales quotation) to the actual day moving.
Price is competitive (in fact lowest among all the popular movers that people/websites recommend) as well.
Hazel was super responsive during sales quotation. As this is my first major move from a house to another house, she was very helpful in helping us deciding the amount of boxes and trucks to move. She was also able to advise accurately based on the video tour (saves us time and effort unlike other moving companies that require on-site survey).
On actual moving day, Troy and team arrived on time and he made the mood lighthearted. I told him about my condo time limit about moving and he assured me that things can be done in time. He and his team were efficient, fast and everything was moved out within 45 mins. There were like 50 carton boxes, major appliances (TV, fridge and washing machine), Queen size bed and a couple of tables and chairs. Incredible speed and teamwork by Troy and his team. They also took extra care on fragile and sensitive items,as well as the padding on the condo lifts/facilties to make sure that there was no damage.

The price is not the cheapest, but at least they won't be asking you to top-up unnecessarily unless you require it. I would say that I have no regrets about choosing them as my house move.

From enquiry to on-site survey to actual day moving, the flow is flawless with no single hiccups even thou moving day is a heavy rainy day. From the start Joy had impressed me with their fast response to my 101 queries. Their charges are very transparent and they listed all clearly for my reference right from the beginning. The movers are so skilled and experienced in packing and making sure items are well-organised in new place. All items are all neatly stacked and arranged. I would say their service is "Haidilao' standard. All persons I have contact with are polite and good attitude. Moving is a nightmare for most of us buy Joy make it awesomely smooth like a breeze. Moved our home 2 weeks ago and I cannot recommend them more for their efficiency and the peace-of-mind.
Initially got in contact with Jenn who asked us to video our home/large items then gave her quotation (based on ½-¾ truck load - turned out accurate!). Even though we spent time checking out other providers who were either more expensive, felt sus, or harder to get in touch with (1 still hasn't replied me), she still gave us ample time to decide. Her team delivered the empty boxes 2 days after confirming, and they were able to accommodate a date change as my new place doesn't allow moving in on Sat afternoons/Sundays.
On moving day, the team leader called me 20mins early to say that they were already here but needed to get lunch first. They arrived on the dot and scooped everything IN 30 MINUTES. I've never shifted a house so quickly before, had over 20 boxes and many bulky items including a baby bassinet. The move was uneventful and they dropped the boxes just as fast. We had relocated in less than 1hr. Impressed with their teamwork and coordination.
After we were done unpacking it took less than a week to collect the boxes. We just left them outside the door as we weren't in, and it was sorted out, no fuss. Even Jenn's after-sales for refund of our deposit was speedy.
Maybe the only thing that worried me slightly was some of the boxes marked fragile were loaded in the middle of the stacks, but nothing was broken - dishes, microwave plate, porcelain figures... I guess that says more about the strength of their boxes than anything else. 5 stars!
